I love Jesus and people and great conversations with Jesus and people.
I believe that we all have something to learn from each person we encounter. I think that the church has a pivotal role to play in our world and that it needs to be rooted in deep love and humility. While lots of things about this digital age concern me, I am excited about how technology connects us. So I thought I would join the conversation and try to start a few of my own.
I am passionate about moutain biking, books, prayer, soul care and spiritual formation. I love equipping people with tangible practices and lots of space for meaningful encounters with God.
In the past, I have worked with ministry staff teams, small groups, large group retreats and individuals. I have 11 years experience in Christian ministry at a wilderness retreat centre and recently finished a 6 month apprenticeship with the discipleship pastor of a mid-sized church. Before that I worked as a Registered Nurse but often found myself more concerned with a client’s spiritual wellness than the medical rush of things, so I am currently doing a Master of Pastroral Studies with hopes to enter pastoral ministry or chaplaincy someday soon, Lord willing. I adore sharing my life with my three rambunctious boys and my spouse of 14 years.
Lately, I have been smitten with a few topics...
holding space for open and evolving spiritual conversations
pondering the interplay of physical, mental and spiritual health
areas of interfaith convergence in contemplative practices
I have an inkling some of these ideas may sneak their way into my blog posts.
I'm glad you're here.
